Prerequisites:
  • Have activated Android smartphone.
  • Know the basics of unlocking the phone.
  • The phone should be less than 6 years old.
  • Attended Android Smartphone Basics class or have equivalent skill level.

Objectives:
  1. Understand and utilize Camera and Video App settings effectively.
  2. Navigate through Camera and Video App viewfinder menus proficiently.
  3. Utilize Gallery and Google Photos for photo and video management.
  4. Share photos and videos via text and email seamlessly.
  5. Learn to find and install Apps from the Play Store.
  6. Explore video meeting Apps for various purposes.

The class provides an overview of essential functionalities and applications for Android smartphones, including camera operations, managing photos and videos, and using apps from the Google Play Store. Here is a summary of the main sections:

1. Camera and Photos: It explains how to use the camera for photos and videos, including settings for resolution, flash, HDR, and more. Users can switch between front and rear cameras, adjust settings for landscape or portrait modes, and manage storage locations. Post-capture options include viewing, editing, sharing, and deleting photos or videos using the Gallery or Google Photos app.

2. Installing Apps: The guide covers accessing and installing apps from the Google Play Store, creating a Google Checkout account for purchases, and providing advice on app permissions and uninstallation steps.
