iPAD BASIC SETUP

Prerequisites:  

• Must own an iPad and have an Apple ID.
• Bring your iPad with the latest operating system (iOS 18.2) installed.
• Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check and update your device if needed.
  Register for Tech Help the Tuesday before class for assistance with updating your device or resetting your Apple ID password if forgotten.
• Familiarity with an iPad

Objectives:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Navigate the iPad using gestures.
• Connect to Wi-Fi networks.
• Set up and use Siri.
• Customize the Dock
• Organize the Home Screen
• Customize and use the Control Center
• Add and manage widgets.
• Use Spotlight to search.
• Take photos, scans, and screenshots.

Description:

In this workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of iPad setup through demonstration and hands-on practice. Most of us utilize only a fraction of the features available on the iPad. Learn how to make it your own based on how YOU want to use it and what features are most important to YOU.
