Prerequisites:
- A basic understanding of how to use a computer is required.
- Classroom computers will be used.
Objectives:
- Identify standard internet terms (browser, website, hyperlink, URL, search engine, home page, etc.)
- Understand browser components (address bar, tabs, back/forward buttons, refresh, bookmarks, settings, etc.)
- Learn to add and delete bookmarks and manage favorite websites
- Learn to recognize signs of phishing and unsafe websites
- Learn the differences between the most popular browsers

This introductory class is designed for beginners who want to build confidence using the internet. You’ll learn how to use a web browser, navigate websites, perform searches, and stay safe online.
