Prerequisites:
Participants should be familiar with the basics of Photoshop Elements as covered in the Photoshop Elements Intro class.

Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Understand what Layers are and why they matter
• Navigate the Layers Panel with confidence
• Create, organize and manage Layers effectively

Description:
Layers are the heart of Photoshop Elements, and once you get comfortable with them, everything else becomes easier and more creative. Layers act like transparent sheets stacked on top of one another. Each sheet holds part of your project—text, photos, shapes, or adjustments—so you can edit one element without affecting the rest. 

Working with Layers allows you to:

• Add text and graphics without damaging your original photo
• Make reversible, non-destructive edits
• Experiment safely and creatively
• Build the foundation for nearly every project you create in Photoshop Elements

Whether you’re enhancing photos, designing cards, or building scrapbook pages, mastering Layers opens the door to more control, flexibility, and creativity.
