The Compose Yourself Special Interest Group (SIG) is a vibrant community of writers leveraging computer technology to craft and share their literary works. We convene monthly to engage in discussions about our writing projects, provide constructive feedback, and inspire each other. Whether you wish to share your memoirs, stories, or other writings, we invite you to join us in this collaborative environment.
Purpose of the Compose Yourself/Writing Group SIG
- Foster Personal Expression: We encourage writing for personal fulfillment through the sharing of ideas, writings, and knowledge
- Enhance Writing Skills: Participants can learn and share techniques that promote effective writing.
- Connect with Loved Ones: We motivate members so share their complete works with friends and family, particularly children and grandchildren
- Encourage Publication: We support the submission of writings for potential publication opportunities
