Prerequisites:
To enroll in this course, participants should meet the following prerequisites:
- Proficiency with Mouse and Keyboard: Comfortably navigate using both input devices.
- Familiarity with Windows 11: Basic understanding of the Windows 11 operating system, including its interface and features.
- Basic File Management Skills: Ability to find, open, save, and close files within Windows 11.
Objectives:
- Understand the parts of a filename.
- Review and understand the storage system on your computer.
- Understand and learn how to use File Explorer, previously called Windows Explorer, Computer or My Computer.
- Learn how to create new folders and move existing folders.
- Learn how to nest folders in a meaningful tree structure.
- Learn how to protect your computer from viruses, spying, etc.
- Learn how (and when) to "clean" your hard drive.
Description:
This 2 session course is designed to equip students with essential tools and techniques for effectively organizing files on their computer hard drives.
By implementing a structured file management system, students will learn how to categorize and group files, making them easily retrievable.
