AVAILABLE TO CLUB MEMBERS

Grand Tech Club offers two fully equipped, state-of-the-art rooms for members.  All computers have the latest software and are connected to high-speed internet.

THE CLASSROOM

• 12 student seats with Windows and Mac operating system computers with appropriate software for classes.

GENERAL OPEN USE

• 11 PCs with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
• 4 Apple iMacs
• Photoshop Elements on 3 PCs and 1 iMac
• Color/B&W Printers (small fee)
• Scan/Fax machines

You do NOT need to sign up for an Open Lab unless you want to reserve equipment.

• Our printers are available for members to use at a cost of
  • $0.05 per page for black and white
  • $0.25 per page for color
    

   

• Our FAX machines can only be used for toll-free or local numbers.  You will need to go to PORA in Sun City West to make a long distance fax

• For your convenience, the following items are available to buy:
  • 32 GB USB Flash Drive for $15
  • Mouse Pad for $5

Please do not assume that the monitor has the expertise to answer all queries (but it is OK to ask).

 

DIGITAL CONVERSION EQUIPMENT (RESERVATIONS REQUIRED)

• Automatic 35mm Slide Scanner
• Epson FastFoto Scanner
• 8mm/Super 8 Film to MP4 file
• VHS to any digital device
• Vinyl Record/Cassette Tape to any digital device
• Flatbed Scanners with software to convert document formats

STATE-OF-THE-ART FLIGHT SIMULATOR (RESERVATIONS REQUIRED)

• Powered by two gaming level computers and associated flight controls.
• One computer runs the instrument panel and flight controls and the other runs three wraparound monitors displaying the outside environment.
• Cockpit seating is a Volar Sim unit containing all hardware instrument panel flight controls.
• The joystick and rudder pedals are "Hall Effect" type for accurate control.
